ELPO ADOPTION POLICIES

Visitors are invited to meet with animals available for adoption during hospital hours. ELPO staff is available Monday through Friday from 10 am to 6 pm. If someone finds an animal they would like to adopt during hours when orphanage staff is not available, they are invited to fill out an adoption application which allows hospital staff to place an adoption pending on that animal until 5 pm on the following business day. ELPO staff will then follow up on the application when they return to the office during orphanage hours.

East Lake Veterinary Hospital hours:
Mon - Thur: 7:30 am to 8 pm
Friday: 7:30 am to 6 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am til 3 pm
Sunday: 9:00 am til 4 pm

East Lake Pet Orphanage is located inside East Lake Veterinary Hospital in East Dallas on E. Northwest Highway, between Thurgood Lane and Ferndale Road. East from Central Expressway, we're just about two blocks past the Dallas Police Substation. West from Garland, we're right past the Texico station on the corner of Northwest Highway and Ferndale Rd.
